Legitimate health insurance provider calling to inform you of your plan and benefit information. They want to explain your plan and all of the plan options and extras that may or may not be offered like free health club membership and online 24 hour doctor access, etc.
I did not answer the call thinking it was a scam, but this number is united healthcare. I spoke with a supervisor yesterday, and it was her calling me back with information I had requested. This number shows up on the caller id. She left me a voicemail, was very polite, identified herself, stated she was calling from United healthcare, and gave me her direct number and extension to return her call.
This is a legitimate phone number for United, and the caller had a legitimate reason for contacting me. I'm not sure what to make about the complaints listed above, although as a health care provider I know this company is one of the most annoying groups to deal with.
