Just received a disturbing call from a John Moore xt 3030. re: confidential matter filed in his office today. His services were employed to give me a brief consultation on my rights and to advise me on steps to eliminate any & all negative consequences. Extremely critical to speak with him today. I returned the call and he asked me to confirm my identity by reading me a social security number - I said no after the first 3 digits - but read the whole number. He apologized and ended the call. But this wasn't my first debt collection call. Extremely upset.
Got a phone call from Nations Recover in Atlanta, GA, asking for me and to call back at a different number than the one showing up on Caller ID. So I called the other number, only to have them say that there is no such person at that number. I asked what their company was about and she said they are a collection agency and someone must have a suit against you, like a bank. And I laughed and said no, there is no such law suit. She kept asking for my SS# to see if she could track what the lawsuit was, and there was no way that I was going to give that out. If anyone out there has caller ID, ignore these people. I received a call today on my answering machine from Ms Woods. saying something or other had been filed against me, and stated a claim number, and that my attorney should call her back, I don't have an attorney. She also said if I wanted to stop them filing I should deal with them right away,or it wouldn't be good for me!!! I have had no court documents and have not been served any papers. Are these people for real? Are these some kind of scare tactics? I have no property for them to take, I don't even have a job anymore. If someone had already filed against me, why would she have to file also? I think it is to scare people. I understand how some people would be frightened and upset by these people calling their employment. However it wont be too long before this company is firing their employees, because many people cannot pay what they owe because of the poor economy ie losing jobs and losing homes. When the shoe is on the other foot they will squeal like pigs.
