I received a call form NRC in mid-December 2009 concerning an account that I had with World Financial Bank. A lady by the name of Ms. Murphy left a message for me to call her by the end of the week or else they will file a suit against me. Of course I was nervous about this, so I returned her phone call. She asked me about my employment, what other bills I had and how much they are, really personal information. Being the gullible person I am, I told her all of this information. She told me (in her annoying voice) that i would have to make a down payment(?) of $120.00 and that my monthly payments would be $82.00/month for 6 months and then I can start over with the down payment. She was so bent on getting my checking account for postdated checks and whatnot. I was skeptical because of the horror stories form other people, and she told me that's the only way that I can make a payment. Totally false I can pay online with my debit card if I want to. It seems a little crooked to me, especially being that the debt is a little over $700.00. I'm sick of these people, especially Ms. Murphy! Her voice alone is enough to make me sick, trying to sound intelligent. Please!
They can't take what you don't have. They would end up probably paying more than what your debt is worth by paying for court costs, etc. If you do decide to talk with them, DON"T give them any of your personal information, like how much is your mortgage/rent! It's not their business. The only thing they need to discuss with you is the debt that you owe to them that's all.
I got a call from this number, i called this number they said they were a debt collection agency and asked my name, they said it wasn't in their system yet they still continue to call, heck i just turned 18 how can i owe money? or perhaps someone used my number.
