I got a call from 770-234-0101 and answered it. I spoke to a Julia Dubose about a debt that she said I owed to her firm (NRC). She was extremely rude and kept trying to talk over me when I asked her questions about the account.
I got another call from NRC and this time it was Ms. Dorsey who is actually Julia's boss. I got the same rude treatment from her with her talking over me or trying to every time I asked questions.
I noticed that they were close by and only 9 miles away so I went by their offices. In case you wonder its a two story red brick building on Peachtree Industrial Blvd right before you get to Tilly Mill Rd. Their building is on the north bound side of Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Its next to a last resort car dealership. When I called Ms. Dorsey back with her n person I was told that it would not be possible and that she was a representative. I advised that I was actually in their parking lot and wanted to see her to discuss this matter but was told again that she could not talk with me. She made the usual threats of stating that she had validated the debt and so forth. I asked her about the gentleman that had been arrested there for impersonating a police officer and she knew all about it but claimed that they were a reputable company. A reputable company would talk to someone in person or at least I think they would. I sent the cease communication letter via Fedex signature required and it was received and signed for by what appears to be a Mr. Thompson. My advice on these people is dont be nice, be nasty. These guys already made the local news in Atlanta on the ABC affiliate but do not seem to care.
got a call from NRC threatening the controller of my company, whom did not release any info on me, that they would come down to my company with papers.
They are nasty, rude, and have been vicious with me on the phone. I never give them any info of any kind.
This guy kevin leaves very rude messages on my phone at work as well.
Can someone advise if what they are doing is illegal?
I've been getting calls at my workplace from "Jay Masters" and he tells me to call 800-935-1139 x2136. He does speak very fast and says he's about the file a claim in my county against me. He calls my co-worker and leaves messages with him too.
i received a call from this number. the womans name was ? Harris. she left a message saying that she was an investigator out of Atlanta. She said she was retained by the city in which i live and was investigating me for "intent to defraud". the message led me to believe that i had defrauded my county. (which i new i hadn't) i had until 4:00 to call her back and answer to these charges. then she said my address and said that is where i would be served tomorrow if i did not call. She did have my last name right but not my first name. i called back to the extension but there was no answer, just an option to leave a message.so like them i just kept calling. finally she answered, and i gave her the case number and she started rambling on about a charge card and because i did not pay it that was intent to defraud. i would be charged $5000 in court for that so she was giving me a chance to pay the credit card off to her. i never heard of this credit card so i asked for their phone number so i could call them, she told me they would have no info cuz they sent it to an attorney in my city, who hired them. This attorney was going to sue me tomorrow if i did not pay it NOW. I asked her if people really bought into their BS????? after all the way things were going it seemed like the only fraud being committed was by them. I told her to have the attorney who hired her call me. she started to talk and i told her i would not give her any of my bank info. PERIOD???? so have the attorney call or better yet have him call the district attorney office since i work very close, i am heading there to let them hear her voice mail. where she claims to be an investigator hired by my county on july 17th. she hung up the phone.
This phone number is a collection agency, and credit card companies do hire them to collect a debt. BUT, i would not give them any info. tell them u will contact the company u owe and make arrangements.
