I received a call on 9/6/13 at 9:42am, CDT, from someone with an Indian accent identifying them self as "Microsoft Technical Support," stating that they "had received several error reports from my computer on their monitoring software indicating that my computer was about to crash, and he wanted me to go to my computer so that he could guide me through a "fix."
I asked for his number, so that I could call back to verify the source of the call. He repeated the urgency of the matter, but refused to give me his number. I asked for it again, and he hung up.
I checked my caller ID and found the number was 786-375-9110. I called this number and the same person with an Indian accent answered, as being "Microsoft Technical Support."
I entered the number into a Google Search and found numerous sites and links of complaints and reports of phone abuse, including threats.
I received a phone call from a man by the name of DAVID BENTLY,saying I owed for a payday loan, which I do not,he told me I would be arrested in two working days.So I told him ok come on and get me but stop calling my job.
I recieved a phone call from 7863759110 today from a gentleman named Andrew from Anderson Law Firm. He had all my correct info. He stated that I had a pay day loan and needed to pay it today or I would be served with papers and the Sheriffs office would be out within the next 2 hours. He said that i would be sued for over $7000. I told him that I didnt take out a online loan. When he tried to insist on this I hung up and he hasnt tried to call back yet. I know it is a scam because the state I am in does not allow online payday loans.
I received a call from this number today - the caller had a very heavy Indian accent. He claimed to be from Microsoft and said that there were problems with my computer that were stopping my Microsoft programs from working correctly. I could tell it was some sort of scam so I told him that I would let my husband handle it and hung up on him.
Yup, always foreign (possibly Indian) accent, although this guy who claims to be from Anderson Law Firm speaks the most decent English of them all. I heard it all from those guys using different phone numbers: Officer James White and his supervisor Mark Henry from Financial Crimes Investigations Unit, John Matthews from Michigan Bureau of something... and some others. All of them very heavy Indian/foreign accents. If you call them they start screaming at you saying, "It's too late, it's all over for you." I just started laughing my a** off. I did voice analysis with my computer of the recorded messages and the same guys have been doing it for the past 3 years at least, or maybe more, with the exception of the idiot from Anderson Law Firm (fake of course) I don't know why I get those calls. Kinda amusing though. Things are tough for most people nowadays and it's not surprising to see these criminals acting up. Well, hope this helps and be cautious when you submit your information on the web people.
I received a call from Agent Baker from the Anderson Law firm also - For a payday loan and they wanted 410 dollars or going to court i would owe 6000 dollars gave me few hours and need to call dude back... Had all my info--- now after reading all these posts will give him piece of my mind. What crap we have to deal with these days they should be tried as criminals
