I received a call on 9/6/13 at 9:42am, CDT, from someone with an Indian accent identifying them self as "Microsoft Technical Support," stating that they "had received several error reports from my computer on their monitoring software indicating that my computer was about to crash, and he wanted me to go to my computer so that he could guide me through a "fix."
I asked for his number, so that I could call back to verify the source of the call. He repeated the urgency of the matter, but refused to give me his number. I asked for it again, and he hung up.
I checked my caller ID and found the number was 786-375-9110. I called this number and the same person with an Indian accent answered, as being "Microsoft Technical Support."
I entered the number into a Google Search and found numerous sites and links of complaints and reports of phone abuse, including threats.
I have received a call from 7863759110 today and friday. Saying they were Steve Johnson form Anderson law firm. saying they have court papers and the same man calls about every 3 months and when i tell them to just send proof they say they cant and only will speak to my attorney. They even once called my manager and told them i said they would pay the debt for me. hello, dont think so.. I dont know how to stop them from harrassing me at work or on my cell. its getting very old and distrubing and they said they were going to get me fired that is what they want and that no one will help me. calls constantly for the day and i have even had a deputy talked to them and of course that day they stopped but started again today. any suggestions? I have no idea who they are but I know I dont owe anything to any pay day loan companies....
Heavy Indian accent, he is a pay day loan scammer. Do not give them a dime, they are using stolen information, probably from some corps data breach in years past and trying to extort money out of people by harassing them at home and work, which is the worst! They even threatened me today that they would get me fired unless I send them $ through a pre paid card (so its untracable and unrecoverable). SCAMMERS! They use totally illegal threats of jail and lawsuits every time they leave a message. I have reported the number and guy, usually uses a few names, most often David Bentley, to the Florida Attorney Generals Office, the FTC, FCC, FBI, ICE, and Consumer Protection Bureau. I urge all of you to do the same too, if your getting a call from him he has your name, numbers, and some level of financial info on you.
I have been getting calls from this number ever since I looked into applying for a cash advance loan now getting vcalls stating they have a court order out on me and I will be arrested really people I'm not that stupid just stupid enough to look into the loan
I recieved the same phone call on my cell then to my work stateing the same, that i would be fired arrested and jail if i didnt pay a debt from cash advance that was deposited in my account in wich i dont even have a bank accout of any kind.,...That i would be arrested at my work and had to provide a routing number to an account i dont even have.....then hung up.....
Yep, this number is some [***] thinking I owe for payday loans. He had the last 4 of my social correct, and said that I will be arrested at home on Sunday. I told him I'd jizz in his wife's mouth while my gay friend asspounded him, and he said 'thank you, goodbye'. Have some fun with these [***]...they're totally retarded and think intimidating Americans is fun.
