I didn't answer, I don't know what they wanted. They only rang once or twice.
All I can add is this:
it came up on caller ID (CID) as a checkmark, followed by +17865400255
under that, on CID, it was again listed as 1-786-540-0255

Looked really strange on CID. I've never seen any number displayed this way before now. Another person said they're in Florida(I think they said that). don't call back, you don't know where you're calling, don't get hit by any possible charges.
I get the SAME call daily only they change numbers approx. once a week. I just keep blocking them.
These are scammers trying to get your credit card number(s). Same ole, same ole...
*Yawn*
These people are difficult to "block" because they spoof so many different numbers. I find messages from them on my answering machine regularly. If I feel lonely, I know they'll call soon (I do not answer the phone).
I've complained to the FTC at least twice with all the details I can possibly give, and it continues. Seems like NSA could put their resources to better use than spying on me, and get THEM.
An answer to the problems of these annoying calls, could be to get an answering machine, such as we have, which announces the callers number. Once the number is spoken, and not recognized, there is no need to even get up, or walk to any caller id unit. ANY caller can call as many times as they care to, without any interruption whatsoever. Let the calls go to the machine, and scammers will hang up, without leaving a message, and other legitimate callers will leave their message.
I am certain that it is technically possible to find the source of these calls. I would vote for any politician who would make it politically possible to do so.
