I didn't answer, I don't know what they wanted. They only rang once or twice.
All I can add is this:
it came up on caller ID (CID) as a checkmark, followed by +17865400255
under that, on CID, it was again listed as 1-786-540-0255

Looked really strange on CID. I've never seen any number displayed this way before now. Another person said they're in Florida(I think they said that). don't call back, you don't know where you're calling, don't get hit by any possible charges.
They suck! Consumer Services, scammers. I'll keep blocking their numbers each time a new one shows up and they can blow me. When I'm awake and do answer I just start off saying random cuss words like I have turrets syndrome and eventually they hang up. Low life son's, go away and die.
No longer in service? Perhaps never was. These scammers spoof numbers all the time, so the caller ID means very little. How they find bogus numbers to 'call from' is a bit of a mystery. I get these cals (credit scam) from all over the country, from places far too small to have any business calling me. I ignore them, they don't stay on long enough to hit my voice mail (7 rings) so they don't have any idea that I am 'alive', yet the calls keep coming. Somewhere, a phone company knows what is going on, and does nothing. Enough of these calls and the perps are guilty of a felony. Does that make the phone company an accomplice? I'm not a lawyer, I don't know.
yep, callin' today wit "new," spoofed #. this is punishment for sure as the call is set up specifically to ring my line and nothing more...
after six years you'd think they could catch a clue, I guess ringing the phone is the primary objective...
I'm on Do Not Call List but they call five or six times a day. I always ask to be removed from calling list but they keep calling. I have no idea who they are other than monumental pests. They say it's about my credit card but I don't have one.
