I didn't answer, I don't know what they wanted. They only rang once or twice.
All I can add is this:
it came up on caller ID (CID) as a checkmark, followed by +17865400255
under that, on CID, it was again listed as 1-786-540-0255

Looked really strange on CID. I've never seen any number displayed this way before now. Another person said they're in Florida(I think they said that). don't call back, you don't know where you're calling, don't get hit by any possible charges.

Based on the other reports, it sounds like this could be another one of those credit card scams. It doesn't matter how often they calls since they will either be blocked or be introduced to the answering system.
daily call (six years)
punishment, no other reason since they quit leaving last chance lower interest message ages ago and never are there to run the scam rap anymore
Consumer SVCS-
Lower interest rates. Of course they don't have a clue what cards you have. Of course they would love to have your Credit Card Numbers. DAILY CALLS.
To the contrary, it is NOT expensive, it is dirt cheap. Technology for robo-calls is available for next to nothing. A humn being is needed only for those 3 in 100 responders who actually choose to followup on the pitch. If then you're one of the 3 in 1000 who fall for the pitch, then the company makes money from those individuals. They don't need a room full of people, probably less than 10 who sit all day waiting for the few suckers. It's no different whether they are pitching credit card fixes, house remodeling, solar panel installation, timeshares, or anything else.
If you want to get back at them, follow the instructions to get to a human being and then just play goofy or tell them "I just sold that house or the bank repo'ed it so you're wasting your time talking to me".
That gets your number off their call list so that you don't get another call in six months on the same subject.
