I didn't answer, I don't know what they wanted. They only rang once or twice.
All I can add is this:
it came up on caller ID (CID) as a checkmark, followed by +17865400255
under that, on CID, it was again listed as 1-786-540-0255

Looked really strange on CID. I've never seen any number displayed this way before now. Another person said they're in Florida(I think they said that). don't call back, you don't know where you're calling, don't get hit by any possible charges.
Since Carmen tells me repeatedly that this is my last warning, I wish that were true. Their employment add must say that they are looking for rude people.
just go another call from 786-540-0255 consumer svcs. I did not answer and will block the number. In a couple of days, they will call again with another number. Wish there was a way to stop them.
For the first time in months I answered the phone, got a real person. She asked if I would like to lower my interest and I told her I don't have any cards and to take me off their call list. She never responded and hung up.
Pure scam. Once they get your credit card account your toast. Don't be a fool. Calling them back to be placed on their "do not call" list will result in your being on the list forever, so don't bother. The numbers rotate from Washington state to Florida and all points in between. The sometimes have names like "survey" or "cell phone" or "business services." They are organized and apparently beyond the reach of the FCC for perpetrating their scams. This is an EASY sting operation: set up some phony cards, have the decoys give the account numbers, then see where the money goes and hunt them down, then prosecute them federally. As a bonus, the prison bosses can record their screams and moans from repeated anal rape in a federal penitentiary, and make copies of it for all the people they scammed to listen and enjoy over some eggnog. ALL of these scammers need to be somebody's [***] for a long, long time.
These telemaggoters often display out of service numbers. However they are also known for using bogus out of service messages as well. I learned that answering or returning these calls will often lead to more calls.
