Autodialed Phishing For Fraud Call. Dodn't recognized the number, didn't answer. A very poor quality and clipped speech synthesized voice message was left... we regret to inform you that your debit card has been lock... please call the security department at... No identifying info profided... Obviously an Autodialed Phishing Call. I did not call back. Added number as an entry in my phones contacts and labeled it "zzz Don't Answer." added to the "zzz Don't Answer Group" which has it's own special ringtone.
Got a call @ 8:30 this morning. No message I rarely give my new phone number out,but I changed Cox cable account yesterday, and they have my new cell #,so I guess my new number is already floating around again
Beware. It's a scam. The robocall said something like "your Bank of America debit card has been locked due to suspicious activity. Press 1 to be connected to our security department."
I don't have a B of A debit card, but I pressed 1 to see what would happen. I was then asked to enter my 16-digit debit card number. I hung up (I wish I'd thought to enter a fake number to see what happened.)
I got a ROBO MESSAGE sayin they were from Bank of America and my DEBIT CARd has been LOST! I hung up called the number back and got a RAPID BUSY SIGNAL!! My debit card is in my wallet and not lost! I am calling my bank now to report this.
Got a call from 801-396-8280 that my credit card for BoA was compromised and that I needed to reenter my card number..........I hung up....lets hope folks out there don't input their card number when the robo call goes to them.
