I just received a call from someone calling themselves "Real Estate Hardship Service", but was unable to get my question's answered about who they we're working with, or what would be the homeowner's obligation be to them. And I was given an abrupt dial tone when I asked did they have a website for verification.
I received it (at work!!) but ignored it. Read that it was a mortgage company looking for people to refinance...just SPAM. I rent and will for the rest of my life!
If you have a cell phone, you call download an app called CALL CONTROL to block calls. If you get the free version, you are limited to 4-5 calls to block. If you upgrade and pay for the full version, there are unlimited blocks. I love it!!
I got one with UNKNOWN on my cell phone caller ID - 801-846-6565. 801 is Utah, I believe.
Man-oh-man, I think these folks party all weekend and then come in to work late on Monday and start calling everyone just to frustrate them. If I were interested in their product (if that's what the call is), I would call them.
A pre-recorded message that is violating every possible FCC rule you can think of. They do not identify who they are during the recorded message. They start out saying this is an important message about your mortgage. then they state that President Obama has just signed some mortgage relief bill and they want to help you out of a bad mortgage (if you are behind in your payments).I have already reported them twice to the FCC for all the violations and I intend to do it again today. I will flood the FCC files with complaints if need be to get them to blow these vermin out of the water. The do not call registry is totally ignored by any and all telemarketers because they all know the federal government ignores it. You file a complaint with them they tell you on the website that no action is taken against any individual complaints, all complaints are put in a national data base and available to all official law agencies to utilize in specific cases if they choose to do so. That is all. It is a law that is not enforced.
