Anything from this number is a phishing scam, related to 347-227-6900. "Victor Smith" with his heavy Indian accent attempting to get me to run different things on my computer so he could get access and then charge me to repair. Starts off with claims that my computer is sending error messages to Windows server. I had fun making him run in circles for about 20 minutes, when I asked if he was from Microsoft he hung up.
Have been getting calls from this number on a regular basis...every time that I ask if they are calling from Microsoft they try to evade the question. Finally I told the guy'who has an Indian accent to go screw himself...he hung up before I could get the last syllable out!
SCAM! I just had the same call. My spouse had been getting the call a few times now but tonight I answered. Same guy everyone here is describing tells me he is from Microsoft and their servers are getting reports of my pc infected with a virus. I decided to entertain myself and learn more of this scam. After 5 minutes of trying to understand his instructions and finally getting to the start menu, right clicking on my computer to get the pc information and not understanding the next steps he said hold while he gets a supervisor, I could understand the supervisor better. Double checked the steps the last tech asked me and was asked to read information off the screen. I asked what specifically he needed as I wasn’t going to list off everything. Unprovoked the supervisor said “Listen Here Mother Fu%ker”. Actually laughed into the phone as I wasn’t even ready for it to escalate from his side first. If that doesn’t cement the fact this is a SCAM!
Just got a call from "Bob" with a heavy Indian accent telling me there is something wrong with my windows program. Told him he was full of [***] and hung up on him, my sister got the same call not too long ago, they told her they needed to dial in to her computer to fix a problem. Fishing scam for sure.
