I had them call me today. They were quite polite... When you don't speak English to them. I ALWAYS answer the phone from a number I don't know in Spanish. Hell, my Spanish sucks too, any High School first year Spanish class student is better than me; But that's besides the point here. I always answer the phone with a 'Hola' and say nothing more. Let them do the talking. All you need to know is two more words, 'No' and 'Si'. They figure it out real quick that you don't speak their language(those racist b@stards!) and quickly hang up.
Repeated calls, once daily. Never answered; never leave messages.
I just googled them and found this. Question: I stupidly agreed to do some survey thing (I've now deleted all of their emails, so am not sure what the name of the company was, though I am certain it wasn't Stone Research.) I STRONGLY doubt that I gave them my cell #. But I'm wondering if anyone else targeted for calls has that link?
Thanks for the info. i have ben getting calls every other day at all hours. I have an unpublished number, call blocking and I am on the do not call list. I called the toll free number and the automated system said the mailbox was full so I sent a fax. Hope it works.
Hi. A "trick" that some groups now use is in the malls where they have a table where you sign up to win a trip to Hawaii or a new truck or a free wigget. When you fill out the small form there is REALLY small print which in effect states that you authorize them to usethis information. All this is is you giving a telemarketer a database and in the language of the no call list you now have a working business assocation with them.
Nothing is free and your name, address, and phone number is worth something to someone.
