I had them call me today. They were quite polite... When you don't speak English to them. I ALWAYS answer the phone from a number I don't know in Spanish. Hell, my Spanish sucks too, any High School first year Spanish class student is better than me; But that's besides the point here. I always answer the phone with a 'Hola' and say nothing more. Let them do the talking. All you need to know is two more words, 'No' and 'Si'. They figure it out real quick that you don't speak their language(those racist b@stards!) and quickly hang up.
Calls started again this week 2-3 times an evening. I called their main office number at (888) 896-4866 and asked to have my number removed from their database. Sounds like a legitimate business, but I don't want my phone number out on any lists. We'll see what happens.
I understand a number of the telemarketers are now making the first phone calls to find out what days and what times of the day you answer. Then they switch it over to the live callers.
Thank you for sharing. So many people don't realize those drawings are to get your information. I rarely or never fill those out because of that reason. Also, good advice about creating the junk e-mail account to give out for e-mail, and save your real e-mail account that you don't want spammed for family and friends only. Not always, but Sometimes even my co-workers get spammed; and they have given thier business e-mail address out to the wrong party. :-( Another big NO NO.
I called 812-323-2011 and got an answer from a woman, asked politely what the clal was, she told me, I asked her to take my number off the call list and I wasn't interested in the study and she was polite and said she was going to remove the number. We'll see.
