Don't pay. They tried to collect on me for a year after refusing to cancel my subscription. Finally my credit card expired and they kept calling to collect on less that $150 I owed. After a year the calls have stopped, haven't heard from them in ten months, and there is absolutely no mark from them on my credit report. Ignore them - there are so many fraud claims against them they know they have little to stand on. Don't pay!
Maybe you can help me I was stupid and got signed up for this SCAM and am now completely lost and worried. I canceled my credit card the minute I got home and emailed them twice and even left an anger phone message I am 17 so I am a minor can they do anything to me? What is your experience with this fraud of a company? If I cancel my credit card will I be okay can they do anything to me?
I was checking over my grandaughters bank statement and asked her about this recurring charge of $20, she didn't remember what it was. I looked it up and now we know that they have been taking this money for over 2 yrs. for something she never uses. Nobody authorized them to take this money for this long. From what I can determine they have you locked in to a contract for 5 mos. which I do not think she understood either, but she no longer has her contract. I want to know what is in it so I can see if she can be re-embursed for the amts. taken after the 5 mos. Anybody have a copy of the contract? What does it say about charging the account after the contract date has elapsed. The BBB says if there isn't a form to fill out to cancel your membership you are entitled to get your money back. There are laws about contracts, anybody have any info.
You are really nuts. I'm a college student who has no job and I am living off grant money cuz im so goddamn poor. One of these people came up to me and showed me this. They explained to me about how there is 50% off and first three months I only had to pay $30 per month. So I thought that was cool. I asked her "Do we have to PAY after those three months?"
And you know what she told me?
"Nope. You don't have to pay anymore. Great deal right?"
