Caller ID says "Test". I did not answer the call, and they did not leave a message. They never do. I blocked the number but they are just going to call from another number in a day or so. Geez we will never get rid of these creeps.
Well, I know this isn't attorney spam since you haven't dangled the treble damage option of $1500 per violation for "knowing and willful" ignorance of the TCPA. By the way, "per violation" is how the statute is written, not "per call". Often multiple violations per call are possible. Generally illegal sales calls are already actionable even before one issues a no-call demand. But making that demand and requesting the company's Do Not Call policy sets higher stakes.
As others have suggested, running a TCPA case is more difficult the past few years since so many fraud shops hide behind Caller ID spoofing, shell companies, DBA aliases, and "spam harbor" call centers which insist they share no liability. While South Asian call centers are a staple now, eventually one finds a cattle rustler on American soil to accept process service. Obtaining the critical data is not impossible, but I find that reps for lawbreakers are trained to avoid smart questions. I've a half dozen violators I'm itchy to sue but I can't for want of time and a clear shot at the correct target.
I really wonder if your point is to drive traffic to "Why Call Me", as posting remarks there or on any other comment site is not a requirement of mounting a TCPA lawsuit.
The caller ID said 'Test'. I didn't respond. No message was left. This continued for some time. I decided to google the number. After reading the posts of other people, I was glad with what I found. I've reported the number as one of the 'unwanted calls'.
WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
