I reported Mediation Services to the Federal Trade Commission. You should too so that we are no longer harassed by bullies. The more people that complain the better. They are the crooks not us. Go to www.FTC.gov or call 1-877-382-4357. What they are doing is wrong. They are trying to intimidate people into giving them money. They probably scammed so many of the elderly and disabled already. We need to stick together. File a complaint!
Received call threatening legal action for online payday loan. Guy knew all of my personal information, seemed legit until I searched this number, not sure what to do.
I've been receiving calls from new York, Colorado, new Jersey, Utah and many more, but on 3/17/16 I received a voicemail from Nicholas at legal mediation saying I needed to contact him before the end if the day. So I called the # and some very rude women started telling me that if I didn't pay them 1070.00 there would be a warrant for my arrest. I was pretty upset and scared, I asked her what it was for she told me it was a payday loan that I never paid in 2011. I said I never wrote a check to that place. She said pay 980.00 and it will done. I told her I don't have that kind of money, she then said , we need you to pay 250.00 by Monday are you will go to jail for 180 days. So I called my attorney, and he said it is a big scam. What's wrong with these people? I was so pissed after hearing that, I called the attorney general and gave him the #, he said he had over 280 calls with the same scam. And to think I was really going to try and borrow that money.
Total debt collection scam. Nobody "forwards a case to a judge". That's not how it works. If a debt collector wants o to go to court, they have to hire an attorney licensed to practice in your state. You have to be served with process by a person licensed to serve process in your locality. In some states only constables or sheriff's deputies can serve civil process.
This is just a total scam where someone cold calls you and tries to scare money out of you.
