I got a call from these people saying that they were trying to keep me from going to jail over a loan that I never took out. Said that they could stop everything if I paid them over the phone $998.13 I told them to send me paperwork that I owed money and they just argued that they would only send it after I paid them. Said I had no other choice to pay. I was put on hold for a few minutes and looked up the Court they said was going to [put me in jail and called the Clerk of Courts. The Clerk of Courts said that they had no such thing on file or any other matter with me. The Clerk even tried to talk to them since I was on 2 different phones and they hung up. They are nothing but a SCAM
Got a call again from them. New guy this time, said I filed for bankruptcy on such and such date, I said well then you know before that the debt would be in bankruptcy and after that I would not be allowed to get one. Would not give me date of loan. I said you guys hung up on my attorney last night. He said I didn't do it, I said give me your information so my attorney can call you, he said no give me your attorney name and number and I will call him. I said no I won't have you bothering him he can bother you. Then he got mad and hung up on me. I filled a complaint with the local police and blocked their 2 numbers. Hopefully this is it. Caller ID said Litigation Supply.
Thank you everyone for the info here. Got the same call from Kentucky number demanding a call back same-day. Tried to call back but got a machine/voice mail. It has to be a scam as I've never taken a payday loan in my life and do not have any outstanding debts. I'm fortunate enough to have no debt other than my home mortgage so they are SO barking up the wrong tree. I imagine I'll be hearing from them again - even if I don't I will probably try calling back again just to get some info to report to the FTC and my Attorney General , and to rip the hell out of them for being a$$hole scammers.
