I don't usually answer the phone but was expecting a call back from a doctor about my mom. (I don't have caller ID, I use *69 to see who called).
Portfolio guy asked if I was (not real names here.... JOHN BUTTONER.) I said NO. I AM JOHN BUTLER. Just Google the number you called and you will confirm that on the internet. (Landline number is in whitepages, etc.). He said; So you are saying it is a wrong number. I said 'Yes'. He said 'Have a nice day'. (I HOPE IT IS NOT THAT NEW SCAM WHERE THEY RECORD YOUR 'YES' AND PATCH IT IN TO AN AGREEMENT TO BUY SOMETHING!). It is a 'Portfolio Number' and others have called in the last two years looking for "John Buttoner".
I have been getting calls from Portfolio Recovery for the last couple of months now, They start right away in the morning and go sometimes till late in the evening from the number 859-635-4142. It is always a female with a Australian accent that calls and asks for me and says if it is to sit and listen. I am getting so tired of these calls every day all day long.
these people call and call no matter what time of day, they want to speak to you, but refuse to answer any ??s you have for them I myself am trying to sue them because they are being totally ignorant on the side of privacy laws.
