Got this call at 7:30 am this morning. Woke me out of a sound sleep. All I heard was "press 1. Ok, transfering to answering machine." I only listened and then hung up. Later checked ans machine and nadda. Google brought me here. Not happy to see so many of you have had a similar experience, but I know I did the right thing.
Very weird indeed. I got a call from 'privacy manager'. I didn't pick up the phone and no message was left. A minute later I received a call from 1--860-724-0641, and a message WAS left. It was a very good friend of mine. By the time I realized who was calling, he had hung up. He uses a service called 'Onesuite.com' for long distance calls.
I've gotten other calls from 'Privacy Manager' before and it has sometimes been followed by a call from someone I know.
