Received a message from a Mr. Davis from the Fraud Division did not say the name of the Company he ask me call him back immediately or talk to one of his representatives about the paperwork he send me because I or my attorney did not repsond not sure what they want -- but not returning any calls until I find more out about this. Received the same message last week from a number of 872-484-0004
My wife got a call from this number and another one. I got video of my first call with some lady. She said she can't give me info on the people (the state) that will take my wife to court. She told me to do my own investigation to gather that info. I knew it was a scam before I searched the number. She got mad and said "This isn't even your case" and hung up. I called the other number AMD the guy hung up on me also.
Had my ss. Number and a bunch of other legite info. This b.s needs to stop, call back got mr. Davis assitant. Haha mr. Davis what's his first name. D and T legal services is who they claim to be . I doubt it they said I had fraud blah blah blah for something 4 years ago little do they know I've never been able to get a loan in past 10 years because of such bad credit. Don't fall for the [***] .
Called me & I googled number, found these posts. I called number back, got a VM saying I had reached fraud division & leave a message. I left a message saying this is a scam, remove my number & please call back so I can add harassment to the complaint I filed.
I recently posted something on this page about that same phone number. They are using a company called GBM Financial. This is who withdrew first payment before It dawned on me that it was a scam. I still havent received my money back from the bank. This guys are a worthless piece of trash.
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand.
