Why the heck would you even think of talking to SCUM like them? no computer company would call you like that. wake up! why would you even have a conversation with them? if you wondered about the call tell them to call later when your husband is home. but what you should have done, using your (brain?) was to hang up. obviously you have not been on this earth that long to realize this crap goes on 24/7 wake up and smell the roses. you were lucky you did nothing.
Same here... LOL his full name is "Daniel Craig.". Bond, James Bond. I started screaming hysterically about hackers, and told him I needed to hang up so I could call the FBI to get the hackers off my computer! LOL
I just received a call from someone who said his name was Logan and that he worked at the technical department for Windows. He has a very heavy Indian accent and wanted me to push the button to the right of the Control button along with an "R" at the same time. He wanted to know if I was the only person using my computer and if I was on it "right now". He said someone was trying to block my firewall. (?) I asked how he got my number and he said the my IP is registered and a technician was notified. I asked when this supposedly occurred and he said over the last few days. I refused to do anything and he said, "I am just trying to help you" in his heavy accent. Yeah, I don't need your help. I asked for his number and he provided 1-800-624-9249 ext. 4028. Called it and they're giving away Caribbean vacations..... Star 69 provided me with his REAL number which is 901-411-6787. However, when I call it it says "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed." Total scam. Next time I'll have some fun with him.
Yes I live with my parents temporarily and we have gotten 4 phone calls from 901-411-6787. The first my dad answered and my dad knew it was a scam. He told the guy to stop calling or he will press phone harassment charges on them. This was on Saturday 3/7/15. Today 3/9/15 they called again and this time we didnt answer. There has to be a way to stop them. We have a unlisted phone number and we dont do any business with people other than our electric or phone and cable company. This is very annoying and do they not realize most people today have Caller ID.
Get numerous calls from these jerks. They say they are calling about my Windows computer. I told them I don't use Windows and they said yes I do. Oh really? I use a Mac without windows. They just won't stop calling.
