Why the heck would you even think of talking to SCUM like them? no computer company would call you like that. wake up! why would you even have a conversation with them? if you wondered about the call tell them to call later when your husband is home. but what you should have done, using your (brain?) was to hang up. obviously you have not been on this earth that long to realize this crap goes on 24/7 wake up and smell the roses. you were lucky you did nothing.
2/18/2015 @ 9:57 am. Called in a rude male American English accent. At first I didn't answer and on the answering machine he repeated "hello" several times in a determined voice. I picked up and answered"hello" and my voice echoed then no answer. I redialed the number and the same voice answered saying " hello" hostility several times in a row and hung up. I called again and asked who this is, he refused at first but then gave me the name Richard. I asked if he was from Tennessee and he said no and denied calling me even though i told him his voice is on a recorder, he said in a very rude tone, " look, the phone rang I picked up, sorry" then hung up. Don't pick up people!!!
Same thing is happening to me... NOW. Same heavy accents, two different men. I asked their names -- one was Sam Edwards the other Allan Smith. I asked what company they were with, they said they were with EXPLORER TECHS -- I went through the same steps as you but refused to let them have access to my computer (of course!) when they asked me to type in "www.support.me at the prompt (after they told me to press the windows key+r). I told them NO ONE would have access to my computer but me. I then told them I had another call and hung up. They called back within seconds of me hanging up -- this time it showed up on caller ID as "private caller" -- they have called at least 5X back-to-back already.
My question to anyone who can answer is -- HOW THE HECK DID THEY GET MY COMPUTER ID NUMBER AND MY HOME PHONE NUMBER??????
Would appreciate anyone who can answer this as I'm sure many others are bewildered by.
I hope by us submitting this information it helps someone else -- we need to stop these "invasions of our privacy" if we can.
Just got two calls from them, hung up the first time and they called right back from a no caller ID number. Could not understand what they are saying very well, I heard lot's of noise in the background like it was a major call center environment...
That called and said they need to fix my windows machine. I replied "I don't have a Windows machine but your welcome to buy me one." They proceeded to hang up. Hahahaha.
