I received a call from this number and they said that a payday loan company called Discount Advance will file legal action against me if I don't give at least half of what I owe in order to get an extension to pay them back.I spoke to some guy named Tim Hoffman asking if I could get money from family members in order to pay off the loan.H&P Capital was the name of the company who called my job.It's sounds like a strongarm tactic to scare people into paying back the loan.Tim Hoffman told me to call him at 866-612-1284 Ext.242 to let him know if I want to take care of this before it becomes a legal matter.He stressed that I would be in all kinds of trouble if I did'nt take care of this.Maybe I need to get my lawyer on it and see if they still feel the same way.
Caller ID shows this number called my house at 10:10 PM, far too late for a collection call. Just wait til they call me during normal hours, I will unleash my pit-bull attorney on them.
Caller from 904-672-1023 ext236 Heather Called asking for my son when told hasn't lived here for 10 years she gave number and said to have him call her right away for a legal matter or else would have to send for legal action for noncompliance. I told her I would pass on the message but not to call me anymore because son is an adult. She called me an animal for asking to have my name removed and that I should start raising my children better. I hung up on her and called to talk to a supervisor. The so called supervisor told me that My son should not have his mommy call. I said I was calling about the phone call and person I talked to. He called me an ignorant person because I live in Kentucky. When I let him know that they were not talking to someone who lives in Kentucky but else where I I was just calling about the person I was talking to, he told me that I should get off my butt,start working and pay my son's bills. Totally uncalled for since both my husband and myself work for the federal government and have for 20 years.
Yet another one....I too just received a call with the same threatening message (actually they have left about 6 of them on my voicemail). I haven't called back and will not. They keep this up and they will be the ones involved in a "legal matter". I may just do some checking on the legalities myself....if anyone has updates please tell.
