I have received 2 calls from Mr. Jim Cain myself saying exactly what everyone else is saying. I sent him $50 last week and he called me at work today to collect more. Saying something about the local/county laws, and he would turn it over to them. My dad told me to tell him I'd call the authorities for him in my behalf to see what he would say.
Never in my life,
I had a guy call from H & P capital and they were off base. come to find out they will call all the same name people and harass them. Some how this guy with my name didn't return to a payday loan place to pay them back (fine by me) so the collectors from this number called me and read me the riot act about it, I hung up on him and he called me back. I laid into him and wanted his supervisor.. She asked me questions and actually gave this other guys SS number to me.... They are out of control.. I bet they have guys with baseball bats....
A ms. blackwell called from phone number 1-904-672-1023 ext 264 and basically said that if i did not pay 648.50 by 8 am the following morning that there would be consequences. i dont know what consequences those are, but she was really rude and scared me to death. i have kids and i can not afford to go to jail.can i go to jail for a pay day loan not repaid?
You are so full of garbage, Leslie. What state, city, and county do you reside in and what is your full name. If you were sued by this company then it is a matter of public record and I would like to see if you are telling the truth.
I doubt very seriously you are even an actual debtor; you probably work for this company and are posting here trying to scare people.
Folks this company has the exact same address of another CA that heavily violated the FDCPA. The name of that CA was Legal Mediation Practice. The posts I've read here, as well as other sites, show the exact same pattern of threats and intimidation that was used by LMP is now being used by H & P Capital.
My conclusion: The exact same company.
Do not let them scare and intimidate you. No you cannot be arrested for owing a debt. Yes, you can be sued; however, this "new" company has already started out so heavily violating the FDCPA I doubt they would want to go to court as you could counter-sue and win.
