One's best response, is no response. Just ignore the call.
Many of those who work as Debt Collectors are not polite because they are not Boy Scouts and/or Girl Guides. They are mainly a downtrodden lot, and their ranks include ex-convicts, drug addicts, 20-somethings without high-school diplomas and a variety of other hard-luck cases.
Oh, my gawd, they are like thugs. However, the more clean-cut types simply can’t get the job done. So don't expect that debt collector, who is calling you, to be nice!!!
I got a missed called from this number and I don't even live here, have no bills to pay etc and only got this sim card and number (pre pay so all full paid up) yesterday. I was confused as to who the hell would be calling me from Ontario since I am an exchange student here and have only given my number out to a select few other students and I know no one else from Canada. I think I will block the number because it sounds like a total scam.
I'm with telus, I just got a call from this number, however it rang twice before I could answer it.
What I'd like to know is why they're calling me, when 1. My telus bill is over-paid. I put extra money on it before xmas. So My bill is -28.00.
2. If I had an over-due bill wouldn't telus call me directly or send me a letter first, in the event that my bill wasn't paid?
My guess this is a scam. Either way I'll be calling Telus to ask them what is up.
Called me few times on my Cell phone, I don't answer any long distance phone to my cell, I use my cell phone only for family and emergency no one else has my number. They never left a message.
I don't have any outstanding bills and don't know this company, my phone is on No call list, so I'm going to report them.
