I just got the same message from this number & they knew my name i called my cell phone carrier & had them block the number because the message said they were my cell phone carrier & when i called them they said they didnt call
Get repeated calls to cell and landline from this number, right after the other, with no message. Doesn't seem like a useful strategy for getting people to pay bills if there is no message, but I did read elsewhere that it appears to be Verizon. When I call Verizon, they say they did not call (and my bill is paid up.)
This is DEFINITELY Verizon, and here is how to fix it...
Back story, I have been dealing with these calls for weeks and I will tell you exactly why this is happening and how to fix it, because I just finally got my number taken off after MONTHS of these phone calls.
This phone number is an automated message from Verizon to collect on a bill. In my case, they had a name, and let you press a number if they were calling that number in error. That directs you to a department which has absolutely no record of your phone number they're calling in error, and no idea how to fix it.
I was frustrated so I started calling Verizon directly. They could also not help me, nor do anything but transfer my call to a million different people who also could not help.
Today I finally got resolution. Call (800) 922-0204, this is Verizon's customer care line, and when you get the option to speak to a representative, tell them you are getting phone calls to your number but you are not a Verizon customer/do not owe a bill (that's how it was in my case, I have T-Mobile anyway!). Then ask to be transferred to FINANCIAL SERVICES. No one else has the ability to remove your phone number but this department. Then within 48 hours they will stop calling you.
I hope someone listens to my advice, because I was getting these calls non stop and I was sick and tired of it. Verizon is absolutely terrible if it took me so long and so many incompetent people to do one simple stupid thing.
It is from Verizon wireless and you are past due on your billing cycle.Its legit but its automated and I have gottten this call before.No scam here its verizon for sure.
