We have been getting these stupid calls for some time now. Last year they were calling for my brother in law who lives in another state!! Claiming they had a warrant. Then from another number, tried claiming I needed to contact them for a "serious matter". never called. A friend in the PD told us to not even speak to these scum as they are trying to get our info for identity theft! And now today, I get a third call for my husband with an identical claim that he needs to have his legal representative or himself call this Sarasota Fl number!! 941-251-8163
SCAM!!!!! Calling Sherriffs dept. I am so tired of these idiots!!
I have received numerous calls from 305-902-1547 with the 941-251-8163 info on their recording. When I did speak with them they had lots of old information on me and claimed I had received money for 5 payday loans from 5 - 8 years ago. Since I have never taken out payday loans I was certainly skeptical. I was concerned that someone had stolen my identity and taken out the loans in my name. I was ready to call the police. I informed the caller that I would be contacting my lawyer regarding how to handle this situation. It dawned on me later that this was probably a scam when I realized if someone had taken out a loan in my name, I would certainly have heard about non-payment long before now. I searched the numbers on line and discovered I was correct that it was a scam. Be careful. They are very convincing. One thing they told me was that some payments had been made on the loans and then they stopped. What a brilliant lie. They are getting smarter about the information so it sounds more legitimate
I received a numerous call from the same number and left 941-251-8163 to call back. I very tired of these scam calls. These people get your information from payday loan company which I did had 3 or 5 years ago and these loans had been paid. I told them that I was rich so I don't owe anyone money because I PAID MY DEBTS. Also, I told them I am sending their number to FTC because I received a check from them where they sued one company concerning payday loan.
They call my cell phone and my home phone leaving the same message and same file number, they call from a number that says private and also a 305 number, now this call says it is from Marathon, FL. I have filed a complaint with our county sheriff office and with the clerk of the court. When they said there was warrant for my arrest, I immediately called my friend who is Clerk of the Court in our County. Most of the phones they are calling from are pre-paid throw away phones. They even went as far as to say this is the final call we will be actively seeking you and will go to your employer, good luck with that, I have been retired for over 2 years. They have also called my home looking for my daughter. This is pure crap, and these people need to be caught.
Today I received the same phone call and message. After redialing back, no one answered, but call right back. I ask who was callng and she gave a name of Stacy Burkman from Compliance Management Solutions. She ask me to verify my information and I told her "you called me, so apparently you have information, I didn't call you so let me verify your information so I can give to my attorney to make contact with you". once I mentioned that, she told me to have a nice day. The call came from 941-251-8163 and again from 305-902-1547. All these numbers are connected somehow and surely must be a scam. And yes they have my cell, home and work number. Does anyone know what can be done about this? I'm opened to any other suggestions.
