Received voice message from 951-386-9708 this AM, a robotic voice said the IRS was filing a law suit against me. This is an illegal scam, period. A complaint was made to the Federal Trade Commission and my local police.
I got a call from 951 386 9708. They said they were the IRS and a warrant was issued for my arrest. And that I owed back fraud related taxes. The representative, Danny Carter I'd #IRM 054327, told me this, then transferred me to his supervisor, Alicia Miller, ID#IRM1007 And said I had to go to the Walgreens store and get an Apple I Tunes cRd and pay 200. To send the loaded card to them. She gave me address of IRS 1111 Constitution avv. Wa DC 20224. Then passed me to a guy Neil Jackman I'D #20251 SAID he was an attorney and keep all this confidential, that a warrant would be issued for my arrest within 24 hours and a revenue officer will come to my address and arrest me.
The caller is a LIAR & THIEF - and has nothing to do with the IRS. If there was a problem, you would receive MAIL from the real IRS. IGNORE these thieves.
I received the same call today (951-386-9708) at 12:15pm CST. I advise you all to call 1-800-366-4484 which is the Department of treasury & report it. (They are working to resolve this & know it is happening) It's unfortunate that the Internet has so much information about most individuals & these scumbags are using it to benefit from it! It's sad that they do this to people & a lot of individuals fall for it because they say they are "The IRS" & use scare tactics to make you pay. I don't know if the above individuals that wrote in were speaking to a very hard to understand accent individual from that phone call, but that is also a sign of a scam! If they are hard to understand then it's time to hang up! Always do research & never give anyone your personal information or send money to them unless you are very aware of the situation. Good luck & God bless everyone. Yours truly, Ske ;)
