I also received a call from this number and after grilling the person on the other end to disclose their company's name, he gave it to me. They call from:
NCO Financial
Consumer Hotline
Phone: (800) 962-5191
Fax: (866) 269-8669
they call regarding an erroneous medical bill and I have sent them a letter of cease communication and was quite upset at them since after numerous calls I was finally able to discover who had been calling. They were calling at off hours and often after 8:00pm which is illegal in the state of Texas. They claimed it wasn't them but since they subscribe to that bogus number, I have records from the caller ID and without them identifying themselves, they are liable. They stopped calling and I sent a letter to the Texas Attourney General's Office which sent them a letter and the stopped immediatley.
Seems like a wrong number from the Dallas area, and 000-0000 ending could be misconfigured outgoing call equipment on their end.
I have a very long outgoing message on my voicemail to trick autodialers - this was a real person since a full message was left. The call was Brian from Barb at Bank of America home loans. Asked to call back at 866-855-9517 with an extension. I called 866-855-9517 and it sounded legit.
I received this call on my cell. I have never worked with any of these companies that are listed and I don't have any bad debt. If you ask me it is a scam and they are just trying to get personal info from people by telling them they are with Countrywide. I will never answer a call from this number. Whoever it was didn't leave a message either, so it must not have been too important.
For people reading these entries for the first time,it looks as though this is fake/spoofing number that gets passed around.I am dealing with Bank of America Home Loans Countrywide Division on a loan application and when they call me back the caller ID now says "Unknown" and the new number 932-000-0000.
