Its a bad idea to refur to the company as RCI, as there are multiple companies out of texas with those initials. Such as Resident Collect Inc. who are scum do to the fact they wont settle a debt they baught for pennies on the dollar even tho the debt is almost old enough to default. They would rather lose it all instead of settle and make some
....the software John Roberts used is called 'Caller ID Masking'...you can look it up...on google. Also, the information there says that 'Caller ID Masking' has been outlawed effective, iirc, at the end of March, 2011.
What a-holes. I still shake my head and wonder if there is ANY way possible to be happy about your life knowing that you have to do crap like this on an ongoing basis every single day...calling / harrassing people who are already in financial duress and are at low points of their lives.
It is not that someone isn't paying their bills. You have to look at it this way. When two business entities enter into a contract, sometimes it goes sour. For example, you can buy advertising that is shown to you one way, and it come out another. Who would pay for something they didn't authorize, or ask for?
The problem with this company is that they are UNPROFESSIONAL. They do NOT tell you exactly what they are calling about, they don't have correct account information, they are deceptive, they call not only employees, but FORMER employees of companies that no longer exist, and DEMAND money.
It is my opinion in the matter, that any reputable company will send you a detailed bill, and provide you with a copy of your original contract, and not break the law. Disputes can be settled in court, not through thug mentality. I am sick of them calling me. Get a set of Panasonic phones with internal call block. No matter what spoof they use, it will block them. I am tired of them calling and just talking to me, saying, "is your phone not working right", and me asking them who they want to speak to, only to be harassed about stuff that has nothing to do with a disputed bill from a company that is shut down, that I did not own. Call my boss already.. oh yeah.. I forgot, he went out of business...
F U. They call people looking for someone else or the debtor who might have had the same phone number in 2002..If you can't get a real job, just become a bill collector working on commission. Hahahah. You guys are the losers
