Its a bad idea to refur to the company as RCI, as there are multiple companies out of texas with those initials. Such as Resident Collect Inc. who are scum do to the fact they wont settle a debt they baught for pennies on the dollar even tho the debt is almost old enough to default. I received a call yesterday from a guy named Justin from RCI. He told me I owed money to the Yellow Pages. I asked him to fax or send me the Yellow Pages contract and he told me I had to pay half the bill first. He told me if I didn't pay he'd send this to litigation on Tuesday. The guy was harassing and when I told him I didn't have the money, but could pay less than $100 monthly, but still needed to see the contract first, he got real ugly and said that they will, in fact, put me into litigation and slammed the phone down. I've never been treated like this. Can they put me through litigation? I'd like to sue them for harassment!!!
This was an elderly lady. She initially said that she was trying to reach someone on my street. She gave me the girls name and asked if I would leave her a note on the door, but that she didn't know the address.
I have never heard of the person that she named. When I asked her how I could leave her a note if she didn't have the address - she hung up on me.
My biggest concern is how did she know that I lived on Howard Street.

RUDE, ANNOYING HARASSING CALL WAnted personal cell number and personal info about case #****, but could or would not give any info on case or name then i asked for an address said can't do- said i will be calling you everyday then she hung up very sneaky and rude and threatening and not giving any info out these calls should be stop SAID IT Ws a legal matter yet provided

Yes, we had the same thing happen. Today...my neighbor came over with his phone and said someone was trying to contract us about doing a pest control job (lie #1)and our phones weren't working (lie#2) She said her name was Alison. She told me the same thing she told my neighbor. When I went in I called the number and asked for her supervisor, a man by the name of David came on, I explained what had happened, he said , tough, pay the bill - by the way the bill was through our business, not personal and I was unaware it was owed. He was rude, I asked to speak to his supervisor and a John Roberts came on the phone and said Alison did not lie, he was standing right beside her. He was very hateful and rude. I asked for his supervisor, he said "no" I asked who owned the company, he said "none of your business" I have never been talked to the way this man spoke to me...I called back, and told the guy on the phone I needed to speak to someone in charge, not David nor John nor Alison, he said "no" I asked him for the address of the company, he said he would not tell me. I asked for the owner, he said "no"! I really don't believe collection people can legally treat people like this. I'm curious what your attorney says. Thanks for letting me vent.
