Received a call today... recording indicating a collect from a county jail, if you will accept the collect call hit 1, to deny hit 2. I hit 2! I believe it is a phone scam... DO NOT EVER accept a collect call unless you are sure who it is.
received a call from them twice first time, it was from a county jail if you will accept a collect call press one then if not hang up ........so i am not sure if it is real or not i talked to some representative and he wanted a credit card number so he could charge it to my account cause it costs money to talk to whoever called...but i just hung up... I think IT IS A SCAM
Just got a collect call from this number - I declined the call and a message was left, which was the message that it was a collect call. If convicts have our phone numbers, that may also mean they have our credit reports, so I'd pull your report as soon as you can. It's free in a lot of states. You can also put a block on your credit account. Highly recommended in this day and age.
