Well obviously this is not a scam because I received the number on my cell phone caller I.D as well. I was working at the time and my ringer was off so I wasen't able to answer it. Just not checking for the number and see that it was a call from jail. My friend was incarcerated at the Hennepin County jail(but has now been transfered) and so now I know where the number came from.
Yea nowadays they want you to set up an pre-paid account to talk to the person in jail. If you dont know of anyone who is incarcerated then it's just some random guy hoping to get an pen pal.
