Just got the same call from 510-353-3319 left a message stating a Law Suit is being filed against me. To call 972-961-4040 or have my Attorney call w/case # ......... Blocking this #!
Interesting you found out it was Portfolio. I received a call today from 989-220-3770 who also said they were NCA. On my voicemail they said the same thing about a lawsuit. They gave me no name for the client and no dollar amount from the so-called client. Last year Portfolio took me to court and it was dismissed. The name they had was same as mine except whoever this was had a different middle initial. Found out this particular number was from the internet. On the voice mail they also told me to call 972-961-4040. I myself have been getting these stupid calls for over 2 years. I contacted the Attorney Generals office, checked website for a different one of which they had no record and I was informed to not answer calls if you don't know the number. She also said they are millions more scams and unfortunately they are unable to catch all of them. Be careful and stay safe. One more thing, I called one back and asked them what their clients name was and they said thats private information, I said its not if its about me, then asked dollar amount and he said again its private information. I then asked him the case number, the court house Im suppose to go to and he said private again. SCAM!
NCA recovery has been calling me for 3 years, there has been many different numbers. the last one today was 209 264 8944 from Long Barn, CA. They said I had a credit card from US Bank in '07 (whom I have NEVER used before) I have had the same bank since I was 18. They said I had a credit card and it was charged off but I was still owing over $1000 on it. I told them that this in inaccurate was I would have been 17 when you are claiming this and no way would I have even been able to even open a cc if I tried. they are very rude and hung up on me so many times. I straight up cuss these [***] every time telling them to stop calling me and their job is a joke trying to take money from innocent people to feed yourself. They just hang up on you right away as soon as you throw some attitude back their way. they just can't handle it I guess. Don't let them fool you, all they have is your birthday and last 4 of your ssn and address, which I'm sure was sold them from another company if you've ever applied for a loan anywhere. Hit them with the law and tell them they are false filing - straight [***] losers.
