Claimed I had a lawsuit filed and that immediate payment was needed....made by auto bot...I called them and asked what this was...it was some illegitimate claim from 2006!!! IDIOTS...it is out of statute of limitations even if it WAS mine which it isn't! WHATCH OUT, they are fraudulent...I demanded a name, none given, I demanded they stop calling as its illegal to do so once it is made known!
This is a ploy by Portfolio Recovery Associates because there was decision against this debt collector not to collect further debts and not sell old debts to other debt collectors. Just found out that NCA (National Credit Adjusters) is a subsidiary of Portfolio. And Portfolio is doing this so it can get away with collecting your debts. File a complaint to the Consumers Financial Protection Bureau - http://www.consumerfinance.gov/ . Portfolio Recovery had a judgment against them in September 2015.
