Same experience as reported by others. Strong accent. Claims to be from Microsoft Windows Technical. Wanted me to hold down the windows key and the R key at the same time to remove the viruses. Started yelling at me when I questioned him as to why I would do this.
Indian sounding guy told me he was with Microsoft and told me I had a virus in my computer and he was gonna help me get rid of it. There was a lot of noise in the background. I hung up!!
The guy said he was from Windows and said I had viruses on my computer. He's called multiple times, but this time I played along and told him I didn't care that my computer had viruses. He then proceeded to ask my age and when I told him he didn't need to know, he said that I sounded young and that he liked my voice...to which I replied "huhhhhh That's pretty creeeepy." We carried n this convo about 4 mins...time after time I told him not to call back, and he said he'd call tomorrow. Creepy Indian dude. I'm sure he will be calling back again...but this time I'm going to tell him that the cops are tracing all of my incoming calls, just to see whathe says.
Caller ID said "Jara Jorge". Caller had a heavy Indian accent, said he was with Windows technical services and claimed to have detected a problem with my computer, it was about to crash. When I said we had 5 computers and asked him which one it was, he said I had to turn one of them on and give him some information to figure it out. I asked for a callback number, he gave me a bogus number that had more than 10 digits. Then I asked why his caller ID said Jara Jorge if he was really from Windows, he started to argue and then hung up the phone.
Received a call from this number today. Was not near phone to answer so I got the number from my missed calls and dialed it back. Got recording number was not in service. It is now on my blocked call list. This happens frequently. When I called my phone company and my state government office no one can explain the reason why it says numbers are not in service when they just have called your house. Invasion of my privacy!
