Just got a call from this number - same thing as everyone else. The "supervisor" called me back after I called them out on their scam, and started swearing at me - threatening to do things to my family and send threatening emails to the president from my IP address.
I got part of the call recorded...these guys are something else!
I got a call from a very pushy East Indian-accented man. He was in a cacaphonous call center and incredibly pushy. I have a friend who teases me by calling me that way. At first I thought it was my buddy. He repeatedly said he was calling from Microsoft.
I said "I do not know who you are". He aggressively kept declaiming, "MAAM, do you have a Windows compooooter?". I told him "I am going to report you to the DOJ. You should not be calling me." "MAM! Do you have a WIndows com-poooootur?"
These are scum sucking criminals. There is no way that they can trace error messages from your PC and know what your phone number is. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!
Received two calls from this NY number. The first time I ignored the call and they did not leave a message. The next time (only a few hours later) I answered because I didn't want them to keep calling back. This time the caller, a gentleman with a heavy Indian accent, told me that he was calling from Windows Technical Support to tell me that they have been "tracking" my computer activity for the past few days and have detected malware that's been downloaded onto my hard drive. He was going to show me how to clear it off of my computer. I told him I would take care of it and then I hung up on him. Later that evening I was talking to my son and mentioned the call (as a point of interest and humor) and he said that his wife got the same call and apparently they have the same virus on their computer! Ha...she told him to "f" off and hung up on him also. Just wanted to share my experience to help out. I knew if I checked there would be others on here that were called.
