Have received calls from this number on several occasion say that they are with Windows. THIS IS A SCAM. They try to gain remote access of your computer to hack your information. They tell you that they are getting error reports from your computer and need remote access to fix it. DON'T DO IT. Windows is a Microsoft product and; after a chat with Microsoft corporate; understand they Microsoft will NEVER INITIATE contact with you unless you specifically request contact. BLOCK THIS NUMBER! Also they have called back within minutes with a call that has no caller ID. It's the same demons.
I am writing to you on my cell phone as my computer is being workef on.
Your great response overwhelmed and terrified me. After reading it I unplugged my computer and called Dell cust service and was told they hadnt called me about anything and they dont call customers to inform them of problems with their computers.
Then I took the computer to a local repair shop to have it examined. He called this morning and said my computer was completely compromised and he hadnt see one this bad before. He suggested wiping the hard disc drives and reinstallling windows. But he hasnt done anything uet as I couldnt decide what to do.
