I received two calls on another line from Dell regarding follow-up with a system restore on a computer I had done by their technician four days ago, on a computer I just bought 4 weeks ago. They blamed the software that I downloaded. The thing is I didn't download any software. Their technician downloaded software the week before when setting up my computer. Now I am getting calls from this number and I came here to see who it was. Sure enough, two calls in two days. I will talk to them the next time to get them to stop calling.
Oh, the technician did try to sell me a warranty package for 2 years at $149. Had to tell him no thanks at least 4 times before he gave up.
This is the number Dell Technical Support calls from to check on whether their assistance solved the problem a few days after your technical support call. (Had to put call type as Unknown altho it is known since there was no appropriate entry - should be one for legit calls.)
I received 9 calls from this number 201-520-9200, starting at 7:42 am until I finally answered the last call at 1:15 pm. It was bugging me, because I have no outstanding debts of any kind, I was curious as to why they were calling incessantly. It was Dell calling to see if the issue with my new laptop was resolved. The Indian man (Brian...??) was nice and I could actually understand him somewhat, but I spoke with him for a few minutes, told him everything was okay and the calls have stopped completely. I understand Dell wants to follow up and ensure a positive customer service experience, but 9 calls (without a message of any kind) in a 5+ hour span is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Perhaps an automated message system with prompt from someone that speaks intelligible english, from here in the United States to at least let people know why the are calling. He sounded just like the guy (Larry) I talked to from Dish Network two weeks ago, same background noise and all! Seriously, East Indian people with anglo saxon names? Do they think we are stupid? Just my two cents....
