I received a call on my cell that was an automated message, male voice with slight non-descriptive accent (understandable). He said that he was calling from AT&T and that my U-Verse system was reporting an error and that my system had been compromised and that I needed to call back at the same number. TOTAL SCAMMING/PHISHING operation. BLOCKED THE NUMBER.
Call your state attorney and file a complaint takes only minutes. I can't do it cause I never talk to them I just let my machine get it and they never leave a message.
I answered this call and it was a guy with a heavy Indian accent calling on behalf of Windows. We had a discussion about how full of shite he was. SCAM!!!
Received a call from this fraudulent phone number but i didn't answer the phone! These fake microsoft, indian scammers didn't leave a message on my voicemail! If you receive a call from 201-768-4886, immediately report the call to the federal trade commission and the better business bureau! These foreigners are attempting to hack into your computer, steal your money and identity!
I have been getting a call from this number a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks. I did answer once and when he identified himself as a rep for Microsoft I said not interested and hung up. Then after receiving a couple more calls from that number, I answered again and told him to take me off their list and don't call me again and he said, quite smugly, no, I can't. I hung up again and now when I see the number, I just reject it.
