I received a call on my cell that was an automated message, male voice with slight non-descriptive accent (understandable). He said that he was calling from AT&T and that my U-Verse system was reporting an error and that my system had been compromised and that I needed to call back at the same number. TOTAL SCAMMING/PHISHING operation. BLOCKED THE NUMBER.
same guy called again...heavy indian accent...some Microsoft tech guy...I told him I wasnt buying into his crap and hung on him right then and there and then blocked the number.
Got a call or many calls as my computer was hacked Said they were Microsoft support,India speaking guy.Telling me he has all information on my computer,After many days of changing passwords, bank accounts, and hours with the real Microsoft, and credit bur.
This number calls my home relentlessly; like others I'm on the DNC list. As a head's up: I tried calling this number back a few minutes ago via cell and it has the message it's not a working number. Background sound is weird. Here's what I do when someone bogus calls: Confuse the heck out of them. I tell them that I was calling them to let them know that I found a computer error (or whatever they're selling) and I'd like to help them out. Please give me your whatever and I'll provide them with a fabulous gift card. I just keep rambling on an they finally get it. They waste my time so thought I'd waste theirs.
