i was contacted by this number and i was told that i was chosen for a 10,000 dollar grant. she couldn't answer when i asked her my name, and hung up the phone.
Just had them call me. I asked they remove my name off of their list. THe lady with a very heavy indian accent told me that she was not selling anything just wanted to inform me of something. I told her not to waste my time. she replied with "if you dont want to hear then don't waste my time and hung up" I guess I was wasting her time LOL.

Grant scammers generally follow a script: they congratulate you on your eligibility, then ask for your checking account information so they can "deposit your grant directly into your account," or cover a one-time "processing fee." The caller may even assure you that you can get a refund if you're not satisfied. In fact, you'll never see the grant they promise. They disappear with your money.
"Because you pay your income taxes on time, you have been awarded a $12,500 government grant! To get your free grant, simply give us your checking account information, and we will deposit the grant into your bank account!"
They have called me at least 10 times in the past 2 days. Just now i answered and they asked for someone who i have no idea who it is. I just told them "Wrong number" and hung up. hopefully they dont call me again! And they obviously have no idea how to leave a message
