Interesting that you folks think everyone who lives in Washington, DC has something to do with the government or politics. There actually are lots of private citizens there.
This number 202-524-5413 calls day and night 7 days a week and there is never anyone there. This is harassment and I can't seem to block it! Has anyone ever spoken to a live person on these calls? If they call after we go to bed we grab the phone without our glasses hearts pounding in fear its one of our children or grandchildren. Has anyone had success in stopping calls from this number?
I rec'd a call from this number a few minutes ago. They wanted to speak to my supervisor. When she wasn't available they wanted to know if I could renew a subscription for her. When I told them no, they said they would call back. I will not answer this call again.
Given the 202 area code (Washington DC) and the fact that this is a Congressional election year, I would guess this is a political call, which is (unfortunately) exempt from the Do Not Call list
received call and I do not answer it. I google the number which leads me to sites like this which confirms its a scam.
My calls are forwarded to my cell. After it says, missed call, I scroll down and click "block this contact. The do not call list is useless. You can also block numbers from calling you by logging In to your home phone provider's web page. For example, Comcast has a call block setting.
