Interesting that you folks think everyone who lives in Washington, DC has something to do with the government or politics. There actually are lots of private citizens there.
Called on Saturday by noon leaving no message, with a wife with serious anxiety problems these calls are very stressing for my family; I don't see any solution to these intrusions! I even disconnect the phone and connect back when needed. I would not hesitate to buy an "intelligent answering machine" a machine answering and asking automatically some questions, like "is this a marketing call?" if yes enter 1.. if not enter 2... wait and give a stupid music.. then "are you still in the line?" yes enter 1.. if not enter 2.. wait ad give more funny music... then.. leave your message and number after the tone ....
Is there something like this around? I would pay for it!
