Left 2 identical messages on voice mail today saying the IRS issued an arrest warrant for me along with my physical property, and I. must call them immediately to avoid prosecution/loss of property. I ignored them. I made a call I'd put off to make sure the IRS had deposited my refund.
Left a long recorded message on my answering service. Got to love all these invasions the government will not acknowledge is a major, national security issue. Called the number back to hear their message. An Indian dialect with a room full of noise answered and the response was "IRS." Asked him to repeat he said it again then hung up, Definitely a scam from some Indian Dialect organization. Didn't even have time to threaten him back. To bad the IRS doesn't realize their Agency is failing desperately when they allow such illegal, threatening tactics to exist. You can put a man on the moon but can't stop illegal phone calls.
I received a message on my home answering machine indicating that the IRS was calling and I was being investigated. I didn't return the call since I believed the call to be a scam. The IRS generally sends me correspondence via the USPS.
