I had the same exact message. I found this line is VOIP line, so highly doubtful in Seattle. I admit it did sound unnerving. I have no idea though how to make them stop??
Indian accent on the caller threatens " big trouble " with the IRS second offense etc. "call now let us help you help yourself". Ridiculous. I've never had a moving traffic violation let alone trouble with the IRS. Scam.
I received the same message from a David Grey. coming from 206-900-9214. Said the number twice; had a slight accent. I just hope the seniors don't fall for this stuff!
I received this message in a voice mail-call id said Seattle- I am in NJ. It was the treasury scam-David Grey name of caller (ha) I get about 5 calls a day from scammers-I NEVER answer the phone unless I recognize the number. I figure if it is someone I know, but don't recognize the number they will leave me a voice mail. These scammers are beyond belief. I had the grandparent scam,computer scam,now this!!!
Called my mother today staying she owed 5k in back taxes from 2011. They told her if she didn't pay today, the police would arrest her and she would be imprisoned for 3 years.
