Don't you know? ... "Political Surveys" are exempt from the DNC list!
ANYONE can call your number by just saying they want you to answer a few of their survey questions first. THEN they ask for your credit card numbers and any other information they can con you into giving them.
Got a call on my landline from 206-496-0484, Caller ID said Skip Tel. I didn't answer & they hung up before the answering machine started recording. I added it to the block list on my phone but like other people here have said, they call from lots of different numbers. I got a few everyday on my landline & my cell. I don't answer them in hopes that since most of them use auto-dialers, they might think the number is no good since they never get their call through to me. Maybe then the calls will stop. I know, dream on....
I get calls like ths sometimes. If I don't recognize the area code, and I don't recognize the number, I don't answer. If somebody I know really needs to get in touch with me they will leave a message.
The callers on these kinds of calls never do.
Got a call just now from this number. No message left. Thanks to all who take the time to submit comments because it makes me feel empowered against these frustrating time-wasters. Why cant the government shut these fraudulent "businesses" down?
