Don't you know? ... "Political Surveys" are exempt from the DNC list!
ANYONE can call your number by just saying they want you to answer a few of their survey questions first. THEN they ask for your credit card numbers and any other information they can con you into giving them.
I have all of my calls forwarded after thirty seconds of ringing. That gives me time to answer it if I want to. After that it goes to an anonymous recorded message with cell phone ads. The caller never knows who they called. After awhile they stop calling.
My husband got a call from them on his cell today and didn't aswer because if he does he may have to pay a $2500.00 ticket in our state because of he is driving and can't answer. Within minutes, at home I received a call from the same number on my home phone. I picked it up and hung it up immediately. I have blocked that number now on his cell phones. However, I was just thinking policital type calls and the first one that comes to mind is Mike Huckabee. I think he has sold all of our numbers (since I have the same for many, many years and live in Arizona). I cannot get rid of Mike Huckabee and have complained numerous times and begged each year to stop the calls as our situations have changed. Does anybody else here see a connection . . . ? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Who do we write now? Perhaps the Senate? Attorney General? etc . .. I HAVE reported Huckabee's number on the Do Not Call List for the last 2 years. Anybody an attorney out there with great advice?
Just realized they called my cell phone too, tonight. This means somebody has my cell phone number, my husbands cell phone number and our home phone number that we have had for 22 years.
We recently have been to Brake Masters, in the past dealt with Mike Huckabee and cannot get their party to stop the calls for years and within the past five hours dealt with a bad call from a threatening collection company who called for our son (Creditor's Financial Group, a debt collector with telephone numbers 716-691-5700 and 877-803-7062). They were yelling at us over his debt just tonight when the telephone calls to all our numbers happened within the next hour. I called to complain about the collection agent's behavior and his yelling. When I reported to his supervisor - the supervisor kept asking me about other telephone numbers associated with our son's account and warned me if I did not remove them at this time, those calls would continue on those numbers. Before now, we had not gotten any telephone calls on our cell phones. Suddenly, now, we are? Seems a little fishy. I still intend to report this company to my Attorney General and am very suspicious that is truly in fact Creditor's Financial Group, because of the way he kept telling me to remove any other numbers. When does the Government ever stop this influx of stupidity we as people face? It is not okay to threaten innocent people with continuous meaningless phone calls.
